Biddy Dymond is a freelance photographer who graduated with a first class honours degree from the University of the West of England in 2013. She lives and works in Bristol. Much of her photography focuses on social and ethical concerns within our society, and she takes great pleasure in exploring the conventions of portraiture.
Some of the personal projects she has worked on have examined the ethics of the ‘Mother Photographer’, told the story of her sons procedures for the effects of his Cerebral Palsy, and explored the social impact of the screen on the family. Her commissioned work ranges from portraits to product and interior shots, as well as working on various collaborations.
Biddy uses the mediums of both digital and analogue photography, working instinctively and intuitively. She has a sensitive approach to both the subject and the aesthetic of her images.
